McCrory to regulators: consider Charlotte

Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory says he has asked bank regulators working on the outcome of a Wachovia Corp. acquisition to consider the local impact such a deal will have.

“As the mayor of Charlotte, the headquarters city for Wachovia, I want to stress the importance of your efforts given the economic impact any resolution regarding Wachovia will have on the economy of Charlotte and the United States” (…)
