Street soccer tournament needs volunteers
Posted on 14 Jan 2011 by Brooke Sloan Gibbons
The Street Soccer USA Charlotte Invitational is looking for volunteers for its three-day tournament.
The Urban Ministry Center’s Street Soccer 945 is hosting the annual event January 28–30. About 1200 homeless athletes from around the country will play in 4 v. 4 games at the the South End Fieldhouse and Futsal Factory facilities. Adult, Co-ed, and youth tournaments will be held, and there’s still time to register a team.
Volunteers are needed for various clean-up assignments and administrative and player assistance. Videographers and referees are also needed. To sign-up for a position, contact Jonathan George: jgeorge@urbanministrycenter.org or 704.926.0604.

Um, playing sports in the street is dangerous and I can’t condone this activity.
I’m glad to volunteer in any capacity needed. @ Ben that’s funny, haha. This is an indoor event.
