YWCA Central Carolinas recently launched its 1902 Society. The 1902 Society exists to engage young professionals in the Charlotte region around the mission and programs of YWCA Central Carolinas. The focus of the group is to promote volunteerism, encourage philanthropy and increase civic engagement around issues of empowering women and eliminating racism.
The 1902 Society takes its name from YWCA’s founding year in Charlotte, connecting new generations to the organization’s long history. The society is among only a few other young affinity groups in Charlotte and will be one that paves the way for a new generation of philanthropists.
