Video: Obama invokes Charlotte in press conference, Jon Stewart calls him out

In a press conference Monday, addressing America’s involvement in Libya, President Obama managed to include a reference to Charlotte:
“If we had waited one more day, Benghazi — a city nearly the size of Charlotte — could have suffered a massacre that would have reverberated across the region and stained the conscience of the world. (…)
It was not in our national interest to let that happen.”
To which Jon Stewart replied on Tuesday:
“Although, I have to ask: Is there a massacre of a city the size of Charlotte that is in our national interest? .… And is it Charlotte?”
First off, my favorite part is how Obama said “Charlotte” without the “NC” modifier, which has all kinds of ego-boosting implications for us crown-jewel-of-the-South types.
But I can’t tell if he’s making fun of Charlotte or the President. Apparently Fox Charlotte can’t either:
Can’t wait to see more jokes at our expense in the coming year and a half.
