Video: Carrie Becker, among the McColl Center’s newest artists, brings micro-scale forms to life

I got to catch up with one of the McColl Center’s newest resident artists, Carrie Becker, at their opening reception last month. Her work deals with objects and organisms you’d traditionally only encounter on a micro scale, and the result is both awesome and a little creepy.
You can catch her, as well as the McColl’s other new artists including Shelia Turner, Felicia van Bork, Susan Lee Chun, Michael Pilar Brown and Isaac Payne this Saturday for their Open Studio event from 11 AM to 6 PM. Carrie Becker and Michael Gayk will be giving a gallery talk at 1 PM on the same day, and guiding visitors through their Elements exhibition.
