Recently CLT Blog had the chance to sit down with local photographer Armando Bellmas in NoDa to talk about his work, his inspirations, and his life here in Charlotte.
After our original interview location fell through by happenstance, we stumbled upon a quite curious, relatively quiet space: the back of The Rat’s Nest on E. 26th.
Not only was the location as eclectic as the interviewee, we had a great chat about everything from favorite neighborhoods to the Armando Bellmas Portfolio Tour ‘09. Above, in its candid splendor, is the interview.
Armando captured some pictures of us during the process with a wind-up film camera, which we can’t help but share as well.

This is a wonderful interview. Armando a great artist and also a great member of our community. I had the pleasure of meeting him while he was helping deliver clothes for the homeless at the Clothe Charlotte ( http://cltblog.com/1806 ) and again at the PostGig showing at the Green Rice gallery ( http://cltblog.com/2868 )

As usual, awesome interview. I met Armando once at the PostGig exhibition and he is a great guy! I love his work too.
