Graphic study on population

Neil Freeman has assembled a graphic list of the 50 states and the 50 largest metros in the US, merged together and ranked by population size. I was surprised that NC comes in 6^th, behind NYC, LA, Chicago, Texas and California. Charlotte-Mecklenburg is way down, somewhere around 60 I think.
