There’s so much of Charlotte we’ve thrown away — so much we’re continuing to throw away. It’s great to look through these and get a little perspective.

It’s really crazy to look at all these buildings and realize that most of them do not even exist in Charlotte anymore. It’s such a shame that a lot of the city’s past and the beautiful architecture has been gutted. It’s very ridiculous compared to other cities who have maintained their historic districts while Charlotte is mostly re-building it’s own.

sure did like the old picture of Charlotte
Thanks for your efforts to preserve and display these pictures of Charlotte. Pre-banker days had more character. I can remember back to around 1955.
