Meck Co. Health Dept. gets $300k grant to curb smoking at CLT college campuses

“The Mecklenburg County Health Department is receiving a $300,000 grant to curb smoking at college campuses in the area.
The funds come from the N.C. Health and Wellness Trust Fund, and are part $1.2 million being distributed across the state in the third phase of its Tobacco-Free Colleges initiative.
The health department will bring anti-smoking programs to UNC Charlotte, Johnson C. Smith University, Queens University of Charlotte, Davidson College, Johnson & Wales University, Art Institute of Charlotte, Gaston College, Belmont Abbey College, and Gardner-Webb University, among others.”
